Jia Zhong
Chinese-French pianist and music educator, Ms. Jia Zhong, is a professor at Garches Conservatory of Music /Dance/Theater in France, a Beijing Wind Orchestra Artist-in-Residence, she is one of the preliminary promoters and Artistic Directors of the Yan’an International Piano Festival and one of the founders and Artistic Directors of the 2014 Xi’an “Silk Road” International Piano Festival. Mrs. Chong is also a visiting professor at the Xi'an Conservatory of Music and at the Lu Xun College of Art of Yan'an University, as well as Shaanxi Normal University.
Ms. Zhong is regularly invited to numerous renowned concerts, festivals and master classes in China, Japan, France, England, and Egypt, to cities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Xi’an, Shenzhen, Urumqi, Yan'an, Dalian, Yinchuan, Paris, Lille, Nancy, Charente, Isère, Monaco, Oxford, Cairo, and Luxor. Her concert repertoire is rich in variety, with not only French works but also with an active repertoire of contemporary music (such as works by Luciano Berio, Jean-Michel Damase, Pierre Petit, Michael Levinas, etc.). As a Chamber music pianist, she has performed in collaboration with many famous musicians, including Françoise Parrot-Hanlet, France Clidat, Caroline Dumas, César Velev, Christiane Edinger, Sylvie De May, and Ming Ge.
